Lauder School Bed & Breakfast
Nestled in the charming village of Lauder, in the heart of Central Otago, Lauder School Bed & Breakfast offers a unique and memorable stay in the historic Lauder Railway School. Lovingly restored and tastefully decorated, our accommodation features a well-equipped kitchen, outdoor BBQ area, and a cosy lounge with a fireplace — perfect for relaxing after a day of adventure. It offers a welcoming and comfortable retreat for travellers cycling the Otago Central Rail Trail or exploring the region.
We can host up to 22 guests across a variety of accommodation options, including rooms within the historic school building and inviting garden cabins. Whether you're a couple, solo traveller, or part of a group, you'll find a cosy and relaxed atmosphere perfect for your stay. Guests have access to our spacious Common Room and beautiful country gardens.

Our family of 6 had a wonderful stay at Lauder School House B&B. Karolina and Tom were incredibly welcoming, and Frank the dog is very sweet. The rooms were spotlessly clean and beautifully presented, with excellent kitchen and cooking amenities. Right off the rail trail it is comfortable, peaceful, and well cared for — highly recommend.

We loved the old school charm (literally), hosts Karolina & Tom, the facilities, the grounds, the history of the area (visit the railway station), the comfort. Cooked dinner there, but could have eaten at the pub right across the road.
